SylLab Systems · Programs for high school and college students

Space and quantum, taught by the people building them.

Two-week online academies where students train on the same simulator SylLab uses to validate satellite software. Small cohorts, after school, no coding background required.

Two academies

Both grew out of the program SylLab runs with university engineering teams, for high school and college students.

STAR Academy

Space cybersecurity. Teams design a satellite software agent, deploy it into a space flight simulator, and defend it against cyber attacks and space weather.

  • Two weeks · about 25 hours, online
  • From $499 per student · school sponsorship available
  • Certificate of completion from SylLab

Quantum Academy

Quantum technology fundamentals, hands-on. Students get a working feel for qubits, quantum computing, and the cryptography built to survive it.

  • Same format families know from STAR Academy
  • Dates and pricing announced to the interest list first
  • Built on SylLab’s post-quantum cryptography work

College and internship applications all look the same. Theirs won’t.

01

A real simulator, not worksheets

Students launch their project into the simulator SylLab built to validate satellite software, then watch it face cyber threats and space weather.

02

Taught by a space founder

Live sessions are taught by Bart Slowik, CISSP, who built SylLab into a company working with the U.S. Space Force and Air Force community.

03

Something concrete to talk about

A team project taken from idea to deployment, plus a certificate of completion: an essay topic, an interview answer, and a resume line.

Former SylLab interns went on to NASA, EY, Micron, Lockheed Martin, MITRE, Navy Federal Credit Union and Trident Systems, and to graduate programs at Purdue University and George Mason University.

For schools & districts

Sponsor a cohort. Your staff carry no teaching load.

Schools sponsor students directly, and SylLab runs the program end to end: live sessions, team projects, platform access and certificates. Certificates can carry your school’s name and logo.

Ask about sponsorship rates

  • ✓Pilot cohort for a single class or pathway
  • ✓In-class, hybrid, or after-school club delivery
  • ✓Scheduling around your academic calendar
  • ✓Teachers and staff may sit in on any live session
  • ✓Simulator demo for your staff before you commit

One small step to get in touch.

Send a short email and SylLab will follow up with dates, scheduling and enrollment.
